Blue Dunes silver Collier
This gorgeous vintage model necklace by Matti Hyvärinen was designed in the 1960's and it was introduced internationally in 1970 at the Plaza Athénée Hotel in Paris where Finnish jewelry and Parisian haute couture were showcased. The necklace was inspired by the uncharted territories discovered by the space flights in the sixties. On planet Mars, there are mysterious sand formations called the Blue Dunes from which the collier got its name.
The oval parts have a surface that is divided by satin and polished finish. A lovely combination of light and shadow. The substantial necklace weighs about 85 grams. This necklace is made to order and its length is about 16.5. inches or 41 cm. If you wish to have it made longer for you, please let us know. You can also purchase a matching bracelet from us.
